Denice is Emily’s mom. She’s quite literally De-nicest person you will ever meet and every single element at any event we execute has been touched, cleaned, and prepped by her. Denice’s favorite thing to say to people is, “I’m just the mom,” and “I’m the cheap labor," when people ask her questions about an event set up on site. She’s so much more than that to us. She’s the one sweeping up after every dropped leaf, washing buckets, cleaning candles, pulling all the inventory, cleaning all the inventory, and doing all the cleaning around the building. She’s the one making sure we’ve got lunch and drinks and is always there on processing days. Standing at 5’1” tall and 72 years old (I’ll wait while you pick your jaw up off the floor), she’s the powerhouse of AGE. She works mostly on Mondays and Tuesdays to lay the foundation for our entire week and our design crew can certainly attest to how smooth she allows things to run around here.

She retired from Genesee Intermediate School District in 2012, moved to East Lansing and has worked with AGE ever since. She loves the repetitive, annoying jobs, that don’t require too much thought so she can rock out to some Motown while she does them. She has an absolutely banging social life between pickleball, trivia nights, going to South Haven and traveling around the country and world with Tom. She has plans nearly every single day. Denice is a “yes” person that finds the fun is absolutely everything and wants everyone to be happy and having fun around her because that’s what brings her joy. Denice is a mom of 3, grandmother of 4, and great grandmother of 2. We’re all the luckiest people on earth to know her, and can’t imagine life or AGE without her!
